I live in Houston with a wonderful husband and two golden retrievers, Leopold and Charlie. Although I've always been interested in nutrition and health, holistic wellness has become a passion of mine since my own health breakdowns in 2004 and 2006. The issues I have dealt with include hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia, food allergies (including gluten), food sensitivities, environmental and seasonal allergies, hormone imbalance, gastrointestinal difficulties, candidiasis, frequent illness, UTI's, BV, and other related conditions. By God's grace, many of those are things of the past. Others, I'm still working on.
My goal for this blog is to share what I'm learning with other people. I love to research and ask questions, so inquiry is a way of life for me. Perhaps you will find something here that will help you in your pursuit of a healthier life.
Here at Wholesome Goodness (formerly Penny Thoughts), I pass along the strategies and tips that are helping me pursue vibrant health. While I post on a wide variety of topics related to holistic wellness, including safe products for the body and home, I am especially passionate about the healing power of whole, unprocessed, nourishing food.
